We would like to inform you that regarding to the UAE's dealings with people with who have diseases such as tuberculosis, here is the following information:

 The Health Authority examines tuberculosis for all residents upon renewing their residency, and if it is proven that there is an old or active pulmonary tuberculosis, the person is considered healthy, provided that he is followed up by the Preventive Medicine Department or equivalent in government health agencies, and the person is granted a health fitness certificate for residency in which the phrase "subject to treatment" is mentioned, according to which a residency is given for one year only, provided that the case is followed up during the year.  In the event that the patient does not adhere to treatment under direct supervision or does not adhere to three consecutive visits, the person is considered unhealthy, and the concerned authorities are notified and the residency will not be renewed.
