Hello lawyer, am Gladys from Uganda, last year 2019 from April to October I was working for a local family as a house maid in Abu dhabi but because of mistreatment and my life was in danger I couldn't finish the contract and I decided to live that place, my boss bought from the office in Ajman. After living that place because I was sick I went back to the office because I was telling them how badly my boss treats me but they couldn't show any response so the office chased me because I didn't have my passport by then,by luck I got someone who helped me and he directed me to twafuq in Abu dhabi, I raised a complaint and they called my boss he agreed to give me my passport and photo copy of my identity card because it was there fault and on top of that I had finished probation period and he asked me for 1000 dirham and I paid it then he gave me my passport and ID he agreed with the lawyer to concel my visa next day. He kept on telling me to go to immigration Abu dhabi for conciliation but all in all in vain. I have been trying to call my boss to concel my visa but he has refused he put absconding on me and he's asking me for money 7000 dirham which I don't have now. Please can you help because am helpless now I go back to my country because he's threatening me that he will call police for me and I can't work anywhere coz I don't have concellation letter.
