You have to visit the police station again in order to open a complaint related to your being killed, and if the complaint is refused, you should try to meet with the head of the police station.
And if you are not able to do so or do not receive a response to your request, you must refer to the Qatar Ministry of Interior to request opening a complaint because of your attempted murder.
The medical report must be attached to your complaint, and you must prove in the complaint all the details of the assault.
Here is the text of the Qatari Penal Code related to your inquiry:
Article (29)
An attempt to commit a felony is punishable by the following penalties, unless the law stipulates otherwise:
1- Life imprisonment, if the prescribed punishment for the crime is death.
2- Imprisonment for a period not exceeding fifteen years and not less than five years, if the prescribed penalty for the crime is life imprisonment.
3- Imprisonment for a period not exceeding half of the maximum limit determined for a complete crime, if the prescribed penalty for the crime is imprisonment.
Article (300)
Whoever willfully kills a person shall be punished with the death penalty in any of the following cases:
1- If the killing was premeditated.
2- If the killing occurred by using a toxic or explosive substance.
3- If the murder is committed against one of the perpetrator's parents.
4- If the murder is committed against a public servant, or anyone under his control, during or because of the performance of his job or work.
5- If the murder was related to or related to another felony or misdemeanor.
And the death penalty shall be replaced by imprisonment for a period not exceeding fifteen years, if the guardian of blood pardons, or accepts the blood money.
