If i finished my contract as a maid in Dubai and i request for my employer to cancel my visa because i want to work in other sector is it allowed ? What if they refuse and send me back home but i dont want to. May i know my rights as a maid.

According to the domestic workers law, the work contract ends in one of the following cases:
a. The expiry of its term, unless it is renewed in accordance with the provisions of this law, its executive regulations, and ministerial decisions issued in this regard.
B. The death of the worker, or his disability during and because of the work, and the disability is proven and its percentage is determined by a report from a specialized medical committee.
C. The death of the employer, and the contract may continue until the end of its term with the approval of the ministry.
Dr. Conviction of the worker in a felony or sentencing him to a freedom-restricting penalty in a felony or misdemeanor.
e. The agreement of the two parties to terminate the contract.
And the. The worker reaches the age of sixty, and the minister determines the cases in which service may be extended beyond this age.

If the worker’s termination of the contract is due to a reason attributed to him after the trial period, the worker shall bear the expenses of returning to his country, in addition to paying compensation to the employer equivalent to the comprehensive wage for a month and any other dues to the employer owed to the worker and any other compensation that the court may award.
In all cases of termination of the work relationship, the Ministry shall have the authority to grant the worker a new work permit or not to grant him according to the rules it decides in this regard, and with observance of the provisions in force in the state.
