According to what was decided by the Labor Law, if the employment contract is for an indefinite period, the employer may terminate it, notifying the worker in writing a month before the termination, and if he terminates the contract without observing the notice period, he is obligated to pay the worker equal compensation for his wage for the period of the notification or the remainder of it and the employer shall, upon the expiry of the contract, grant the worker, upon his request, without consideration, a service certificate stating the date of commencement of the work, the date of its completion, the type of work that he performed and the amount of remuneration he was receiving with the delivery of the certificates, documents, etc.
The employer must also pay the end-of-service gratuity to the worker who has spent one year or more working at work. This reward is determined by agreement between the two parties provided that they are not less than three weeks' wages for each year of service.
