We would like to inform you that you have to renew the ID card before checking with the General Administration for residency in Abu Dhabi if the residency card has expired. Whereas, the identity card must be renewed within a maximum of thirty days from its expiration date, in order to avoid imposing a fine due to the delay in non-renewal.
However, if you do not have a job offer or contract, you will not be able to renew your identity card or residence card.
