I want to take my passport from my previous employer pact employment but they will release it because i dont have new visa or change status. I cant get new visa because my passport was nearly to expired this coming january 2021. I wnat to take my passport to renew it but they didn’t give it to me. What action that i need to do now??

We would like to inform you that if you are an expat and the employer took your passport, then the employer doesn't have the right to take it. So you can claim for it, and if they refuse then you can file a complaint with the police and provide a copy of that complaint to the Ministry of Labor to prove the violation.
Note that the law allows the governmental departments that belong to the Ministry of Interior to take the passport, otherwise it is legal violation such as the private sector.

I am cancel visa from them and because of i dont have new visa or i didnt take change status they hold my passport, i cant get new visa because of my passport less than 6 months will be expired. Thats why i request to them to release my passport so that i can renew it and take extension then i can apply new visa , but they refuse it and didnt give me responds to my request.
