Hi, my brother is 3 months in al wathba jail. how can we apply for him for a discount for his fine so he can be released.

My brother has been arrested in july for an accident he made while intoxicated...Nobody was involved in the accident accept him. He has been in al wathba jail since. He got a fine of 32 thousand dirham.... we are unable to pay this big amount. we only gathered 15 thousand dirham. How can we apply for a discount so the fine can be lowered. I have been all over... driving every week to diffrent courts, diffrent prisons, diffrent Tasheel... but nobody can help me. and im living in dubai

We would like to inform you that if you want to submit a request to reduce the fine amount and release your brother, then it is not possible to reduce the amount of the fine or release your brother except after serving the period included in the ruling issued by the judge
Whereas, the way to reduce the term of imprisonment or the fine is by appealing the ruling by way of appeal.
Note that if all methods of appeal against the judgment are rejected, in that case, the full term of imprisonment must be executed in addition to paying the full amount of the fine.
