We would like to inform you that marriage of foreigners in Bahrain: Foreigners in Bahrain who are not Muslims can marry their notary public or the authentication departments of their embassies, this is confirmed by Article 6 of Law No. 14 of 1971, which states:

Article 6:

The notary shall be competent to document all official publications except those relating to suspension or personal status. Without prejudice to the provisions of the Law of Real Estate Registration No. 1 of 1367 Hijri and any other declaration in force regarding the month and restriction of in-kind rights to immovable property, the evidence of the stay and its amendments shall be documented before a judge of the Great Shari'a Court and personal status papers for Muslims document one of the judges of the Grand Shari'a Court that the head of the Department of Justice may authorize authorized marriage documents, ratifications and divorce certificates but non-Muslims document their personal status statements before the notary public or their own consular offices where the article 25 states the following:

 Article 25:

The list of legal authorized persons and the provisions for the documentation of personal status papers in the Kingdom of Bahrain shall be issued by the competent judge.

1-  The competent court shall issue and approve the contracts of marriage of which one of the parties is a Bahraini and the other is a foreigner or both is muslim foreigner residing in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Consequently, one spouse must be resident in the Kingdom of Bahrain
