My landlord is asking me for higher renewal price...

We would like to inform you that referring to the Rental Law in the UAE, according to the emirate where you reside, the contract is the law of the contractors, and therefore it is bound by all the conditions stipulated in it. And if the rent is specified in the contract and its expensive price is shown with the presence of properties in the same area with less amount, so to reduce the rent , you may go to the municipal court and file a lawsuit and complaint, as it is the competent authority in resolving the rental disputes, but not that a proof of rent amount of other properties shall be presented so that you may get a Reduction judgment.
