I am a 17 Year old Jordanian girl living in Kuwait...
I am a 17 Year old Jordanian girl living in Kuwait with my family. I have had multiple issues regarding my relationship with my family that I have been researching for the past 4 months how to “run away” & live on my own. I am aware that procedures in Kuwait are completely different from those in the US/UK ;however, being around my family has caused me so much emotional abuse that I have seemed multiple methods of reducing this, including suicide attempts. There is nothing tying me to my family anymore other than financial needs, for example my father pays for my college tuitions. Other than that, I want to register myself with a foster care system or anything of that sorts. Do you have an idea what the law in Kuwait states about females under the age of 18 who leave their homes? Is there a way I can live with family friends without having my residency taken away or without being deported?

Family custody or family adoption shall be according to the provisions of Kuwaiti law for a child born in Kuwait from unknown parents or from an unknown father and the mother is known to be Kuwaiti nationality, and those in ruling are among the special cases estimated by the Family Custody Committee.
Custody is for the girl until she gets married. As for the application for registration in the adoption system, it is by going to the Ministry of Social Affairs in Kuwait and submitting a request to the Family Fostering Committee, and you can contact them through the following link:

However, this procedure, you benefit from will be weak. The appropriate legal method is to resort to the protection from harm system so that you can go to the ministry and claim that you are being subjected to domestic violence and they will provide legal protection for you and transfer you to reside in a place commensurate with your condition and your situation
