Individual customers, citizens and residents, are eligible to renew their driving license 

Required documents for the ones older than 21 years are:

Original Emirates ID

Expired License

Eye test (The validity of the eye test is 3 years)

Service fees are:

AED 300 for renewing a driver license

AED 20 Knowledge and Innovation fees

The validity of new license is:

Below 21 Years old: 1 Year

Above 21 years old: 10 years for citizens; and 5 years for resident and all GCC citizens

the driving license can be renewed 6 months before the expiry date
