I was working in a construction company (resigned...
I was working in a construction company (resigned and served notice period) and unfortunately misplaced some items at site during working days which cannot be found due to which my employer is not cancelling my visa and holding my passport. Although I agreed to pay the compensation, there's a delay of more than two months from their side. When I told them that I'll approach the MoHRE for help, they're threatening me of a complaint against me claiming the losses they incurred because of my uninformed leave around 3 months ago. Actually, the company issued a directive mentioning the employees to stay in company premises during the COVID outbreak, which I violated and hence wasn't able to return to work until I had my COVID test done. So basically I wasn't able to return to work on their directives. Please help me in this regard
