Kindly be noted that if your sister has been sentenced to imprisonment and she is now in custody and wants to appeal on the ruling against her, in this case if you are not an agent on behalf of your sister, you do not have the right to appeal. Otherwise, your sister can appeal to the judgment issued against her during fifteen days from the date of issuance and that your sister may submit her appeal report to the prison warden, and the prison warden must send the appeal to the appeals court immediately.
This is according to the provisions of the Penal Code, which states: -
Article 234
The appeal shall be conducted by a report in the clerk's office of the Court of Appeal within fifteen days from the date of pronouncement of the judgment in the presence of others.
During this period, the convicted person may submit to the President of the Court of Appeal a request to extend this period, and the President of the Court may respond to the request for a period not exceeding fifteen days from the date of his notification of the decision whenever he sees an acceptable reason for that, and if the convict is in prison, he may submit a report of his appeal To the prison warden, the prison warden must send the appeal to the appeals court immediately.
If the convicted person is under bail, the court of appeal can release him with another pledge or guarantee according to the court's discretion, until the appeal is decided.
The Public Prosecutor could appeal within thirty days from the date of issuing the judgment.
