We would like to inform you that according to the UAE law, it is not allowed as it contradict with Islam, but it is allowed for resident spouses to do so during their residence, and according to the laws of their countries. The embassies determine then id the parents are eligible to adopt the child. And then, they submit the documents and then make a power of attorney to a lawyer in the child's country, to find a child to adopt. Then he should go to the court to document the adoption and then to their embassy to authorize it.
Please note that it varies between countries, so check with your embassy to know more.

Hi Waleed, thanks for your answer. My partner and I are both British and are connected with other couples in UAE that are adopting from other countries with no issue. I am abit confused with your answer to be honest. What do you mean by resident spouses?

Dear according to the general principle, and with regard to sponsorship and adoption, it is not applicable in the UAE, and therefore, to know the details, you can refer to the embassy that is affiliated with it, as it is the owner of coordination with the state authorities in this matter
