Between January and February 2020, NAJM credit card collection representative proposed to settle the card as follows:1- Insurance will pay the majority2- I will pay the balanceOn March 3, 2020, the representative message me that the insurance was approved. Same moment, the representative told me, due a miscommunication between the Legal department and the collection, the legal department has filled a case at the Sharjah Police. However, he said that they would take care of the matter.On March 19, 2020, I sent a message to the representative asking him about the release of the case. He replied that they got the approval from the management and in 3 days time, the case will be released, supposed to happen on March 22.Since the lockdown, there was no communication.However, I have proof that I paid in February and the insurance started to pay in March until August.On August 26, I went to Fujairah immigration to renew my 7 years daughter's residence visa; it was declined, as the police case was not released.From August 26 until yesterday, NAJM collection department have done nothing, unfortunately, the representative is infected by covid19 and he is the only one to justify my case with NAJM management.The management refuse to admit their responsibility; they will not do the release of the police case unless i pay AED 5,800.My daughter will start incurring overstay fines from September 1, 2020.What are my rights in this matter? I did nothing wrong, i have agreed of their proposal, they made an error and I have to pay for it.Thank you for your time.Edward Misk
