It should be noted that after reviewing your inquiry and legal scrutiny we would like to inform you that

When a woman living in the UAE on her husband’s visa and she’s divorced or widowed, can extension of 1-year on her residence visa.

Please note that the extension is calculated from the date of the death of her husband or the date of divorce.

You’ll need to submit an application through the relevant GDRFA channels : 

• a proof of divorce or death as the case may be
• a proof of availability of house for the woman
• a proof of the woman’s ability to earn a living
• medical fitness certificates for the woman and her child/children over the age 18
• Emirates ID card
• health insurance cards, as applicable in some emirates.
