Dialysis for end stage kidney disease 
Kidney  is one of the vital organs that regulate body fluids, get rid of body toxins and regulate electrolytes and blood acidity. In cases of kidney disease the patient will encounter progressive loss of kidney functions till the end stage that will necitate dialysis or kidney transplantation. In cases where kidney transplantation is not accessable the dialysis will be initiated throught different routs. The best dialysis option will be throught arteriovenous surgically created fistula that will be used through the upper limb after being mature for dialysis through tow separate punctures, with approprite patient training and education Home dialysis will be appropriate and safe for these patients. The second option will be dialysis through centrally inserted catheter preferably perminant catheter that could be used for home dialysis rout, but its conz mainly fall in risks of line infection and vein thrombosis which can cause significant mortality. Peritoneal dialysis through an abdominal wall catheter is the last option that will allow the patient to perform home dialysis, its surgically implanted catheter that will assess in fluid exchange through the peritoneal cavity. You should consult your treating nephrologist to discuss the best option for dialysis 
Investigations for pre dialysis preparation 
After proper physical exam, You should do cbc to detect anemia which is prevelant in ESKD patients that need Erythropoiten injections.Kidney functions (Urea, Cr, K) are the major products of kidney failure that should be corrected with dialysis. Kidney biopsy to determine the cause of kidney failure. Douplex mapping of the upper limb venous and arterial system should be done for AVF planning.
