Acquiring the Emirati nationality by naturalization
The country's nationality may be granted (by naturalization) to the following groups:
1. An Arab of Omani, Qatari or Bahraini origin if he has resided in the country continuously and legally for a period of not less than three years, which is directly prior to the date of submitting the application for naturalization, and it is required that he have a legitimate means of living, be of good conduct, and not convicted of a crime Breach of honor and honesty.

Minor children of a citizen by naturalization are also considered citizens by naturalization, and they may decide to choose their original nationality during the following year of reaching the age of majority.
