Hello!i would like to ask if i can have a divorce...

We would like to inform you that foreigners can apply for divorce at the competent judiciary in Iceland after filing a case and attach the below:

-          Marriage contract

-          Residence permit

-          Passport

After that the divorce proceedings will be started and the court will be ordered to obtain the divorce document so that you will then have to apply for the document with the competent department of the court with the following documents:

-          The court order to issue the divorce document

-          Original marriage contract and a copy of it or a police report if the original marriage contract is lost

-          Divorce paper issuance form.
