Yes its very important to take a full antibiotic course after cleaning and suturing a deep wound.
You can use any wild spectrum antibiotic like amoxicillin instead of ceftriaxone .
Inflammation sign in a sutured wound :-
- wet wound
- smelly discharges
- nicrosis around the sutures

It's depends on the healing process during the last 5 days, if the wound size decreased and started to heal well so there is no things to worry about.
But if the wound didn't heal or decrease in size it should be cleaned again and sutured and this time keep it dry and clean .
You can use Elizabeth collar to prevent your cat from taking the sutures off.
