According to the announcements in effect at the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship in the Emirates, visit visas may be extended for a period of 30 days, and for two times ONLY, regardless of the original stay period in the visa, and without any need to leave the UAE, as the prescribed fees for extending entry permits and tourist visas are 600 dirhams for each extension process. Know that, the renewal application is submitted before the expiry of the previous visa period.

Basically my residence visa expired in 2017 due to my dads case in land department. He left the country and we don’t know where he is. My mother was having cancer and she passed away few months ago. Me and my brother are in dubai struggling of no visa. I got a job that gives me a chance to work but since my dad is sponsor and he is not here I don’t know how I can transfer my visa and get rid of this situation.

You have to review the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship and inquire that the sponsorship was on your father who left the country due to a case and the sponsorship expired from 2017 and he asked for a work visa after paying the fines for violation of residency that were imposed on you for overstaying after the end of the stay

Basically from the given information We cannot say that he left me and my brother and my mother and went legally out side of the country.So we still under his sponsorship without him being here .And we do know that he has a case in land department. What is the situation of me and my brother in such case.

You must submit a request to transfer the sponsorship from the father to the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship and to provide evidence of the father’s departure and not knowing his place and you are harmed by that because of the expiration of the residence and being unable to renew the residense.

Thank you so much for you clarification. As of now to start with the process how and where should I go? and this won't be a problem for me in immigration since I overstayed ?
