What is the treatment for water water break during 4th month?
The patient must be transferred to the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department, where the following steps must be taken:
Follow the vital signs of the pregnant woman and the fetus
Give antibiotics if infection is present
Giving cortisone injections
Giving intravenous fluids as needed
knowing the reason such as uterine insuffeciency and using cerclage to avoid rupture in the future'
What are the symptoms of premature rupture of the membranes ?
Indicates premature rupture of the membranes is the rupture of the membranes during pregnancy before the 37th week of pregnancy. It occurs in 3 percent of pregnancies and is the cause of nearly a third of premature deliveries. It can lead to major problems in the perinatal period, including respiratory distress syndrome, neonatal sepsis, umbilical cord prolapse, placental abruption, and fetal death. Appropriate evaluation and treatment are important for improving neonatal outcomes. A speculum examination is preferred to determine the dilation of the cervix because the finger examination is associated with the possibility of negative complications. Treatment varies according to gestational age and includes consideration of childbirth when rupture of the membranes has occurred at or after a 34-week pregnancy.
What checks are needed in your case?
Clinical examination
blood test
Ultrasound examination of the abdomen and uterus
Fetal heart beat monitering
Examination of the fluid coming from the mother
