Hello . I am Muhayo from Dubai . In June I had 2 times my period first on 7th June and again on 22th of June . In July I am overdue 14 days and I did pregnancy test it’s shows negative.

Menstural Irregularities
Menstural cycle is a normal physiological process that happen to every female in child bearing age, it happen due to hormonal changes where Progestrone which is secreted by the ovum maintain the integrety of the endometrium to facilitate implantation of the fertilized zygot, if no fertilization happened the ovum pass away and the progestrone level fall, then the endometrium shed away to cause bleeding of the cycle. In some instances some hormonal disturbances ensues to cause menstural irregularities in the form of intermittent bleeding and amenorrhea. The most common cause of amenorrhea is pregnancy that if not present other causes should be investigated after consultation of a gynecologist.
Investigations
After the proper physical exam you should do cbc to detect anemia, blood glucose 2 hours after meal. Kidney functions Urea and Cr, Thyroid functions (TSH, T4 ) to detect any disturbance in thyroid functions, Hormonal evaluation of Serum B Hcg, FSH, Estrogen, Progestrone should be done in addition to an Ultrasound exam of the ovaries and uterus .
