Irregular menses, Causes and treatment 
Menstural cycle is a normal physiological process that happen among females in childbearing age after puperty till the menapause, menses happen due to loss of progestrone that is synthesized by the ovum till the ovum dies due to lack of fertilization, Irregular menstural cycles is caused mainly by hormonal imbalance and disturbance of ovulation or in a relation to a systemic cause , proper investigations should be done to detect and treat the underlying cause after a consultation of a gynecologist 
Investigations 
After proper physical exam, cbc should be done to detect anemia, Kidney functions ( Urea , Cr) to detect any kidney disturbance, blood sugar 2 hrs after a meal should be done, Thyroid functions TSH, T4 to detect any disturbance of thyroid functions, measurment of FSH, LH, Estrogen, Progestrone and prolactin should be done to detect any hormonal imbalance. Pelvic US should be done to check for the ovaries and the uterus, Hystro-salpingiogram should be done to detect any anatomical abnormailties of the uterus and fallopian tubes .
