We would like to inform you that The UAE Labor Law grants the employer the right to terminate the employment contract of the worker, that is interrupted for seven consecutive days or twenty separate days in accordance with article 120 of the Labor law. However, as regards your sick leave, the UAE Labor Law has obliged the worker to notify the employer within 45 hours from the date of his illness. You also need to get a certificate from a governmental hospital for your illness and your need for rest and to be submitted to the employer, so if he refused to grant you the leave, you shall submit a complaint at the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation against the employer.
However, the employer may refuse to acknowledge your medical certificate because it was released from a non-Emirati hospital

Article 82
A worker who contracts an illness that is not a work-related injury shall report his illness within a maximum of two days; the employer shall thereupon take the necessary measures to have him medically examined immediately for the purpose of verifying his illness.
