Treatment of common cold and cough:

It depends on the cause, so treatment may include conservative management as normal saline nasal drops as silva nasal drops 4-5 times daily, and drinking enough hot fluid, and you can use antihistamine as chlorpheniramine twice daily for 5 days for allergym and you may need antibiotic as augmentin syrup three times daily for bacterial infection...etc

Diagnosis of the cause of common cold and cough:

You have to visit a pediatric doctor for clinincal examination and investigations as CBC to detect infectionm and chest x-ray

Causes of common cold and cough:

It may be due to:

• Allergy
• Viral infection
• Bacterial infection...etc

What i advise you:

Till the right diagnosis you can use silva nasal drops 4-5 times daily.
