My company asked me to accept the salary reduction...

My company asked me to accept the salary reduction otherwise I will have to choose the other option which would be obviously resigning. So I accepted the reduced salary since I don’t have any option...Now they mentioning the reduced salary in my work permit..Is it possible for the employer to update my renewal of work permit with reduced salary ?
