Treatment of acne

It is common skin problem affecting high percentage of people due to many factors and hormonal imbalances. Firstly, avoid stress and depression as you can as acne is commonly related to stress and depression. You also have to avoid sunexposure and trying to remove acne by hands. Wash your face with clean water and medical sapon like DOVE or ACTIMED. Apply salicyclic acid cream twice daily on your acne face in addition to hydrocortisone cream twice daily for several days. You can use doxycycline 100 mg twice daily for ten days if there is infection or inflammation.

Investigations to do

You can do CBC to exclude anemia. Prolactin level to determine if there is increased prolactin level. Also you can ask for TSH level for thyroid problems

There are many causes like

• Stress and anxiety
• Puberty phase
• Drugs side effects
• Hormonal imbalances
• Prolactin and thyroid problems
• Genetics
