I have filed a police case for theft at my home. Police gave me a case number but didn’t provide a copy of police report

Yes we had a maid (not on our visa) she did a bank fraud, stole AED 10K cash and lot of items

So want to take a advice what else we can do. It’s been 9 days no update from police

If the maid escapes and you submit a complaint with the police department and you are given the case number and you want to obtain a copy of the police report, then the report is placed in the complaint file for which you were given a number so you can go to the court or police department and request a copy of the report and it should be noted that a complaint must also be filed with the Labor Office and a communication filed against the maid be submitted

I asked for the police report copy but denied.

Also as I mentioned maid was not on our visa but cancelled visa. So do I need to file anything with labor office ?

An escape report against the maid must be filed with the Labor Office in conjunction with the complaint filed with the police station

But I am not sponsoring her visa. I don’t have labor card or contract. Should I still have to file with Labor office ?

If you are not a sponsor of her visa, the petition filed with the police station is sufficient

Thanks. How to obtain copy of police report as police is denying to provide a copy? Also can I take some other legal steps as well?

If the police department hides this document, you can file a complaint with them at the General Directorate of Police
