The Qatari Labor Law obliges the employer to provide health care and medicines in the event of a worker’s illness.
You may go to the hospital, get the necessary treatment, and ask the employer to pay all the money the treatment costs. If the employer refuses to pay, you may file a complaint with the Ministry of Labor.
Here is the text of the Qatari Labor Law related to your inquiry:
Article (7):
The employer shall abide by the following:
1. Providing adequate food and housing for the user, adequate health care, medicines and medical supplies in the event of illness or injury during or during the performance of the work, without requiring the user any financial burdens.
2. To treat the user in a good manner that preserves his dignity and integrity.
3. Not to endanger the life or health of the user or to harm him physically or psychologically in any manner of abuse.
4 - Not working the user during sick leave.
5. The user shall not be employed on daily rest or on weekends, unless there is agreement between the parties otherwise.
