hi dr i am 28 years old and suffering from infertility due to pcos .i had a baby 4 years ago and i lost it in the fifth month after that i never conceived.That was a natural conception.after losing the baby i was depressed and suffered anxiety after homeopathy treatment i feel better now but couldnt conceive want your advice.

Symptomes and management of Polycystic ovarian syndrome
PCOS is considered one of the most common syndromes to cause infertility due to its effect on the ovaries to cause disruption of the normal ovulatory fuction of the ovaries, PCOS is associated with a state of hormonal disturbance to cause high levels of stimulating hormones of FSH, LH and a rise in estrogen which is converted to testoeteron to cause abnormal hair pattern and voice change, in addition to this hormonal imbalance PCOS cause peripheral resistance to Insulin and a rise in blood sugar, obesity and facial acne apperiance. PCOS is treated according to the size of the ovarian cysts, if multiple and smaller than 18 mm its treated medically with Metformin 500 mg tab twice a day in addition to the use of induction of ovulation via clomiphene citrate 50 mg twice daily for 5 days from day 3-7 of the cycle ( after blood finished ) the followed by injection of LH after monitoring of the follicle size by the gynecologist via Ultrasound exam to acheive succesful ovulation, other lines of treatment should be discussed with your treating gynecolosit in addition to the laparascopic surgical drilling procedure for huge cystic ovaries.
Required tests
After a proper physcical exam, cbc should be done to exclude anemia , blood glucose 2 hours after a meal in addition to HGB A1C test to excluse diabetes, FSH, ESTROGEN, PROLACTIN level and LH in the midcycle should be done . Ultrasound assessment of the cysts size and characters .
