Treatment of sciatica


It is a condition of nerve compression in one of lower limbs which result in pain and numbness in leg and foot. Generally, avoid heavy works and lifting heavy objects to decrease nerve compression. Also, avoid obesity and heavy weights. About drugs your wife can take analgesics like SEDPRIN to relieve pain in addition to Tramadol which are safe to take with warfarin. Seek a neurologist examination and counselling about corticosteroid injections in nerve

Investigations


It is clinical diagonsis but you can lower back CT or MRI to exclude back disc and confirm sciatica diagnosis. Also, you can do EMG for nerve

Symptoms of sciatica


There are many symptoms like
  • Lower back and pelvic pain
  • Lower limb pain
  • Leg and foot numbness and tingling
  • Muscles weakness
