We would like to inform you that upon the expiration of the visa, the ID card also expires simultaneously, and it is necessary to renew it before applying for the residence renewal. Once your residence visa expires in the UAE, the sponsor shall expedite the renewal of it for his sponsored within the deadline for renewing the visas to avoid any fines or legal consequences.  According to the law, the General Directorate of Residence and Foreigners Affairs - (GDRFA) grants a 30-day grace period to legally stay in the UAE after the expiration of the residence visa.

 

 According to the residence fines system in the UAE, the fine for staying in the country after the grace period ends:

 

 AED 25 daily during the first six months (180 days)

 AED 50 per day for the next six months

AED 100 per a day after a year and more.
