We would like to inform you that according to the Qatari penal code:
Article 273:
Whoever sells or buys, delivers or receives, transports or possesses alcohol or alcoholic beverages, or deals with alcohol in any way for the purpose of trade or promotion shall be punished with imprisonment for a term not exceeding three years and/or a fine not exceeding ten thousand Qatari Riyals (QR 10.000).
Accordingly, a lawyer may be hired to attend the investigations conducted by the Public Prosecution with the accused and to submit a request for his release. The request will be considered and the appropriate decision taken to accept or reject the request will be made.
