Symptomes and management of Pleural Effusion 
Pleural fluid is present in a normal amounts in the pleural space surrounding the lung to act as an immune system defence line and lupricant, in some cases a state of over production of Pleural fluid occur to yeild an extra amounts of pleural fluid that will compress the function of the lungs and cause a state of shortness of pain, dyspnea and palpitation. Many underlying should be evaluated, but in cases of history of treated lung cancer the re- collection should raise suspicion of tumor recurrence, so the proper investigation and fluid sampling should be done. to prevent recollection thoracic surgeon will perform a procedure called pleurodesis to close the pleural space to prevent recollection, this procedure is minimally invasive done under local anesthesia.
Required investigations 
After proper physical exam, cbc should be done to evaluate hgb level, Urea and Cr should be done evaluate kidney function, AST , ALT , ALP ,Total Protein , Albumin should be done to evaluate liver function. on the other hand, an Echocardiography should be done evaluate ejection fraction of the heart. Amylase and lipase should be done to evaluate the function of the pancreas. A pleurocentesis procedure should be done to evaluate the pleural aspirate for the clolor and content where tests like : PH, Amylase , Protein , cytology SHOULD be done to evaluate the charactristic of the content..
Possible causes 

• Recurrence of Lung cancer 
• Pancreatitis 
• Congestive heart failure 
• LIVER failure 
• Kidney failure
