According to the mentioned facts, I would like to clarify to you that

You have to wait for the renewal of the passport then renew the residence. Or, you can apply for the renewal with writing an undertaking that you will bring the passport once it is renewed. The documents are as follows:

-the application  form of the renewal of residence and the payment of the fees (E-form ,1) photos, signature and the sponsor sea.

-valid passport

- valid original medical test (on line), certified by the health authority (Dubai, Abu Dhabi) or by the ministry of health

-id registration form from the application or registration centers in the \UAE

-the medical insurance of the guaranteed person

in addition to the following documents:

1-valid Passport for at least six months

2 - personal images with clear features such as the one attached to the passport.

3 - bank statement showing the movement of the account for the last three months to ensure expenses in the case of travel.

4 – round flight bookings

5- Hotel Reservation (TCT)

6- health insurance

7 –valid provide residence for not less than three months 

To apply through the Emirates Vision program:

- All of the above except for the E-form
