My son is 22 years old. He does not suffer from any premedical condition. In the past two months he's been complaining of a stomach pain especially after eating. He refrains from eating for fear of pain. Two days ago He was taken to emergency suffering from strong pain. The Ultra sound and the blood test revealed nothing. Everything is normal so they said. Yesterday He had fibroscopy and report was very normal. The doctor recommended that we should take him to a psychiatrist as he might suffer from some kind of stress. I am afraid of Psychiatry medicine as it can be addictive and might have adverse effects on his overall healthy and I am not sure if this the psychiatrist is the right person who can diagnose his problem. i am seeking advice which specialty can help us.

how to treat stomach pain ?
Stay away from fatty meals full of sugars and meals that contain spices
Reduce meals and reduce the contents of each meal
Eat fresh foods, whether vegetables or fruits
Stay away from eating red meat and fatty meats
Avoid smoking, alcohol and drug abuse
avoid stress and take CBT and Antidepressants after consulting a psychiatrist ,
take nexium40mg once daily before eating
What are the causes of stomach problems ?
smoking
hot , spicy food
consuming high caffeine containing beverages and chocolate
acid reflux
hernia
H.pylori bacterial infection
stress
Signs of stomach problem :
heart burn
vomiting
bloating
vomiting of blood in severe untreated cases
severe abdominal pain
dark or brown stool
Diagnosis of stomach problem :
taking full medical history of the patient
CBC test
H.pylori stool antigen test
gastroscopy
If one of the following occurs , you should go to the hospital immediately
vomiting blood
bloody stool
severe abdominal pain
