And you may need antibiotic for gastritis as flagyl 500 mg three times daily for 5 days.

It depends on the clinical examination by a gastroenterologist and investigations as CBC to detect infection, stool analysis for gastroenteritis, ALT,AST for liver diseases, amylase for pancreatic problems, billirubin for gallbladder problems.

It may be due to:

• Gastritis which associated with fever, diarrhea, abdominal pain
• H. pylori infection
• Liver disease
• Gallbladder disease
• Appendicitis which associated with right lower quadrant pain, fever, loss of appetitie
• Pancreas disease
