Causes and treatment of vaginal bleeding
The occurance of vaginal bleeding is an indicative of urogenital abnormality that should be investigated closely, vaginal bleeding on daily basis could be an indication of an underlying vaginal abnormal polyps or warts that result from human papilloma virus which is a sexually trasmitted disease, on the other hand the bleeding could be from a cervix or uterus, among the common causes are the uterine fibroids which are a benign tumors in the strcture of the uterus that should be screened and treated properly. Vaginal bleeding could be a coagulation disorder that is accompanied with other bleeding sites. to treat irregular uterine bleeding you can use combined contraceptive pills and if not improving you should consult your Ob & gyne doctor
required tests
After clinical exam with full history and local exam of the vagina and cervix inspection to detect any warts, polyps or tumors a PAP smear exam from the cervix should be done to detect HPV infection, CBC should be done to rule out any hemoglobin deficit or platelet defect, on the other hand a hormonal screen for progestron, estrogen and FSH should be done. to detect any uterine abnormailty an Ultrasound scan for both ovaries and uterus should be done in addition to an MRI scan, to confirm any chance of having malignancy in any suspected structures a biobsy should be taken and examined by a specialized pathologist . a full coagulation profile ( PT, PTT, INR) should be done to rule out any coagulation abnormality, urine analysis to uncover any urinary source
