Hello too. I have been tracking my menstrual cycle so well. But this month they have delayed. As much as I have tried practising sex in my safe days but my lenses have now delayed by two days. Something that has never happened before since I do receive them immediately after 28 days. Can it mean am pregnant?
Doctor's Assistant: Have you seen a doctor about this yet? What medications are you taking?
Last month I took a lot of diclofenac aince I had tooth ache
Doctor's Assistant: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
No. Am perfectly fine though some years back in my 20s I used to have very heavy flow during menses

Treatment options?

firstly exclude pregnancy by doing b-hcg in serum
Treating underlying conditions
If test results show a medical condition has caused your periods to stop, you may be offered treatment for your condition.
For example, if the cause is PCOS, you may be advised to take the contraceptive pill or tablets containing a hormone called progesterone.
If the cause is early menopause (premature ovarian failure), this means the ovaries no longer function normally. Hormone medicine is usually recommended. Treatments may include the contraceptive pill or hormone replacement therapy (HRT).
If you have an overactive thyroid gland, you may be given medication to stop your thyroid producing too many hormones.
Mark on a calendar the dates when each period starts and stops. This information can help your healthcare provider make a correct diagnosis. Take the calendar to your appointment.
Eat healthy foods and keep your weight steady.
If you are overweight, a balanced diet and regular exercise will help you lose weight slowly. It’s best to lose no more than 2 pounds a week.
If you are underweight, make sure you are getting enough nutrition.
If you follow a strenuous exercise program, consider cutting back until your periods come back.
If you have sex, always use birth control.

Normal menstural cycle:

A menstrual cycle is the time from the day a menstrual period starts to the time the next period starts. The average menstrual cycle is 28 days long. However, a normal cycle can be shorter or longer than this. It may be anywhere from 21 to 35 days long. Most periods last 3 to 5 days, but anywhere from 2 to 7 days is normal. Menstrual cycles may happen around the same date every month or they may be irregular.

The most common reasons for delayed period are:

  • pregnancy
  • stress
  • sudden weight loss
  • being overweight
  • doing too much exercise
  • taking the contraceptive pill
  • the menopause
  • polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)

Advise :
you should be examined by your health care provider
