When I was working at Al Falah Engineering Works in Umm Al Quwain for over 7 months I was interrupted by some people who work for me. My employer then told me to pay back AED 5000 Visa money to the institution and take my passport but I could not find such money. I am kindly requesting you to help me with the appointment

According to the announcement of the federal authorities in the UAE, whether general the administration of the residence and foreign affairs or the ministry of human resources and nationality , companies or businessmen shall not keep the passports of the workers as these passports belong to the country which issued it and no one can keep it but the owner. If any employer hold the passport, then the worker can file a complaint against the employer which will result in forcing the employer to return the passport to the worker, imposing a fine, and stop the services by the ministry of human resources and nationality.

I would like to know, since I have been working for over seven months at the institution where I work, can I leave the company again without paying my visa fee to the company?
