If I have IBS, do I have to take medicine for it....
If I have IBS, do I have to take medicine for it. Or I should just change my eating habits. When I get an IBS attack it lasts for 3 weeks to month.

What is IBS?
IBS is Irritable bowel syndrome is a functional and non-organic disease in the colon. There is no distinctive tissue pattern but it causes abdominal pain with the defecation and a change in the defecation habits according to the quantity and type of stool
What Causes Irritable Bowel Syndrome?
May occur in many times without reason
Eating large amounts of food at each meal
Eating spices and hot food
Depression, stress, obsessive-compulsive disorder, constant anxiety and excess nervousness
Continuing environmental changes, nature of work and surrounding atmosphere
What Are the symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome?
stomach ache
Change in the nature of the discharge from diarrhea to constipation rapidly
Abdominal distension
Mucus in the stool
Feeling not full discharge of faeces
What is the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome?
Keep away from sugars and milk
Stay away from eating hot spices
Stay away from eating wheat and alkaline
Take beneficial bacteria in the form of PROBIOTIC tablets
Take metronidazole 500mg three times daily
In the case of colic can be used MEBEVERINE as well as mint oil
In the case of constipation can be used meals rich in fiber and in case of non-response can be used lactulose liquid 30 cm before sleep
