I’m a 19 year old emarati girl. My parents are separated and my mother has custody of me. Once my mother gets remarried does my custody automatically go to my father? And is the answer the same for my two brothers as well? One is 18 and the other is 23.

We would like to inform you that if you are an Emirati girl who is 19 years old and you have a brother who is 18 years old and the other 23 years old, in this case, your mother’s custody period has ended for all of you since the custody period of women ends when the male reaches 11 years old and the female is 13 years old and therefore your mother’s marriage Will not affect her custody of you.
In accordance with the provisions of the UAE Personal Status Law, which states: -
Article 156
1 - The custody of women ends with the arrival of the male eleven years and the female thirteen years, unless the court decides to extend this age in the interest of the custody until the male reaches or marries the female.
2 - Custody of women continues if the babysitters are an imbecile or ill sick person, unless the interest of the babysitters requires otherwise.
