We would like to inform you that if your son  passport expired, then  can’t leave UAE and you have to review your country embassy to renew the passport.
After getting the new passport, then you have to review the Residence Department to transfer the UAE residence visa to   the new passport  Or  Or leave the country without transferring the new residence
