Treatment :
- heartburn is considered one of the commonest complaints patients seek medical help due to, and its managed according to the reason which causes it, and to diagnose it properly the patient should be assessed by the doctor and he should undergo some tests, temporarily you can follow some tips to reduce the heartburn such as avoiding spicy and sour food, avoid coffee and NSAIDs, divide daily food into 4-5 small meals instead of 3 main meals, losing weight and avoid putting on tight clothes, and you should avoid laying after eating .you can use some medications to reduce heartburn such as Omeprazole 20mg twice a day, or Nexium 40mg once daily.
