Treatment of chronic allergic cough

Chronic cough is defined as cough that persist more than 8 weeks and it is due  to many causes like post nasal drops and GERD. At first, you have to avoid all factors that exacerbate your cough like exposure to dusts and car pollutions. You can take anti histamine drugs like CETIRIZINE 10 mg once or twice daily to relieve cough and if you are complaining of stomach upset and GERD you can take FAMOTIDINE 40 mg 15 minutes before meal to relieve acidity and cough.
