What suppose you do in this case ?
Emergency contraception pills are the best solution in your case.
According to the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO), in this case, one of the following is taken:
1) Levonorgestrel 1.5mg: once
note that the drug is taken within 5 days of the date of intercourse. The efficacy of this contraceptive drug is 55% -98%. According to the date of taking the medicine.
The more the medication is taken after a shorter period of intercourse, the higher its efficacy. Meaning that if it was taken after hours of intercourse better than taking it after days of intercourse.
2) Ulipristal acetate 30mg for once:
the efficiency of this drug up to 98% to prevent pregnancy if taken within 3 days of intercourse and not after 3 days.
These drugs prevent pregnancy by preventing the sperms from fertilizing the egg
the period delay could be due to various reasons , so you shouldn't panic , but if you had unprotected intercourse in the last ovulation cycle it could be pregnancy from the previous month so you need to check pregnancy in all ways after 10 days of the supposed date of your regular cycle , if your pregnancy test come negative , you can take duphaston 10mg two times daily for 5 days , then you should expect it after that , also you should avoid stress and in some cases delayed period could be due to polycystic ovaries so this need to managed by a gynecologist
causes of delayed period :
pregnancy
Stress, emotional, anxiety and tension
Women who engage in extreme exercise such as running and weightlifting
Obesity
Polycystic Ovary Syndrome
