We are honored to inform you about everything related to obtaining French citizenship based on the data you provided us:
French law provides 5 ways to obtain French citizenship: birth, birth in the national territory, birth and residence in France, marriage, and naturalization.
And that what interests you most is definitely the first case,
Birth:
You can be French permanently if one of your parents is French.
Whether you are in France or abroad, a legitimate or natural son.
If you were born abroad and one of your parents is French.
But in this case, your birth date must be later than your father's acquisition of his nationality, not earlier.
To apply for French citizenship, you must withdraw the file from the consulate or the Immigration and Nationality Administration.
The documents to be attached are:
An original copy of your augmentation contract and your parent's
Proof of your permanent residence in France for a period of 5 years prior to application.
All documents that are fixed on your residence in France at the date of submitting the application (rental connection, telecom bill), or benefit from similar accommodation.
Original copies of the contracts for the increase of foreign minor children and documents that broadcast their living with you always or from time to time in the event of separation or divorce.
A copy of the legal record or a Muslim equivalent document from the relevant judicial or administrative authorities.
When your application is fully deposited, it will give you the application receipt.
The French public authorities will answer you within 18 months.
It can only extend this period once for a further 6 months with an explanatory decision.
Here we are faced with two cases:
If the answer is positive, a decision stating your naturalization will be published in the Official Gazette. You will know this by receiving a copy of the decision and contracts from the civil status submitted by the Central Authority of the Civil Status.
If the answer is negative, it can relate to the rejection of your application (lack of legal conditions: age, housing ...), or normal postponement, or remedial (in the latter case the administration gives time to research, for example, the permanence of your professional integration).
The refusal must be justified, and it is subject to appeal.
Also, you can file an appeal with the minister in charge of naturalization, or as soon as you know the decision, you must submit it to the administrative court within two months.

Okay maybe you did not get the whole thing. My father is lebanese and acquired the French passport cause he lived maybe more than 50 years in french unfortunately he is dead and for some reason we did not claim the passport when he used be alive. So the question goes as follow I was born in lebanon but am I eligible to get the french passport knowing all the above context.

When you are a child of a French parent (father and / or mother): the principle of blood law
Applicable text: Articles 18 to 18-1 of the Civil Code
A child is French from birth, even if this child was born abroad, if at least one of his parents is French and has recognized him (if necessary).
Parentage must be established before the child reaches the age of majority: if it is established after birth, nationality will still be recognized from the day of birth.
The same rule applies for a child who has been the subject of a full adoption by a French person.
The parent must be born French or have obtained French nationality BEFORE the birth of the child.
If at the birth of the child, both parents were foreigners but one of them (or both) becomes French after the birth, under certain conditions, the minor child can benefit from the collective effect and become French too.
