fetal heart:
- the heart muscle of the fetus begins to contract by the third week of conception, and it first appears on the ultrasound by the 6th week, fetal heart rate usually ranges between 120-160 beats per minute, and it increases to 160-170 around week 10 then decreasing to 120-130 beats per minutes at term
evolution of fetal heart rate through gestation:
- 100-120 beats per minute in the 5-6 weeks

- 140-160 beats per minute in the 14the week
- 130-140 beats per minute in the 20th week-term
fetal tachycardia:
- it's defined as fetal heart rate more than 160-180 beats per minute
what is 170 beats per minute means:
- it's classified as borderline fetal tachycardia
prognosis
:
- if the fetal heart rate was sinus tachycardia which means regular beats the prognosis is generally good and resolve spontaneously within the first year of life
causes:
- maternal hypertension
- maternal tachycardia due to infections
- maternal use of medications
- fetal infection
- fetal hypoxia
- fetal anemia
advice:
- your case is not concerning, yet it's not normal so you should consult your doctor to do some tests and observe the fetal heart rate and do an ultrasound of the uterus and other tests to exclude any disorder
